Application Specialist

Our client is a well-established international organization in the technology industry, serving customers across the world. The company delivers advanced solutions and operates a regional headquarters in the Netherlands. From this location, they manage business operations for all departments.

To support ongoing digital transformation initiatives, they are currently looking for an Application Specialist who thrives in an international and process-driven environment.

The Role

As an Application Specialist, you will ensure business applications run smoothly and support users in getting the most out of ERP and other core platforms. You’ll be part of a small team responsible for application management and continuous process improvement.

This is a cross-functional role where you will liaise between business and IT, monitor user needs, implement solutions, and contribute to projects across different departments and regions.

Key Responsibilities

• Application management and user support across ERP and related systems
• Monitor application usage, resolve incidents, and implement improvements
• Collaborate with colleagues across multiple locations on system and process enhancements
• Work on data integration and write SQL queries or scripts when needed
• Provide training and documentation for end-users
• Contribute to ongoing ERP migration and improvement projects.

What We’re Looking For

• 1+ year experience with ERP platforms (SAP would be nice, but is not a must)
• Knowledge of business processes like logistics and finance are nice to have
• Comfortable writing scripts and SQL queries
• Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus)
• You are a good listener
• You think in business processes and process improvement
