Manager Risk

As Manager First-Line Assurance you report to the Chief Finance Officer and manage the first-line Risk and Safety teams.

The First-Line Assurance Manager is responsible for a team of 2 first-line risk managers and 5 Fraud Prevention employees. The role acts as a point of contact for operational risk management, information security and compliance and maintains close contacts with the Risk, Audit, Compliance, Privacy and Legal departments.

Tasks and responsibilities:

To lead:
• Managing teams within their own area of responsibility;
• Guaranteeing employee satisfaction and guiding/coaching employees;
• Flexible management style with an eye for relationships;
• Drawing up an annual plan with various departments;

Control Environment Improve:
• Coordinating process descriptions and control frameworks for ISAE and ISO;
• Update and implement the control framework with the first line;
• Drawing up an assurance plan for 1-3 years, taking into account relevant legislation and regulations;
• Increasing risk awareness within the first line;

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
• Point of contact for lenders with regard to first-line risk management;
• Collaborate with the second line for proactive risk management;
• Acting on cross-team connections for optimization;

Project management:
• Independently draw up project plans;
• Reporting on progress and analyzes to management;
• Adjust project teams if necessary;

Job requirements:

• WO working and thinking level with a relevant diploma (e.g. RA), supplemented with further education;
• At least 5 years of experience in a managerial position;
• Knowledge of mortgages and related laws and regulations;
• Experience with ISAE/ISO/SOC certifications;
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into useful management information;
• Experience in communicating with lenders is an advantage.
