Lead Engineer

We are seeking a Lead Engineer to join our team and lead the development of critical systems and data pipelines that support regulatory reporting requirements. This hands-on role combines technical expertise, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver innovative solutions in the financial services sector.

Your Role

As a Lead Engineer, you will design and implement robust data systems and workflows, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as MiFID and SFTR. You’ll work closely with various teams, including software engineers, compliance, and business analysts, to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Engineering & Development: Build and optimize data pipelines and applications using C# and Python.
• Technical Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to define functional and technical requirements for regulatory systems.
• System Design: Partner with architecture teams to design scalable and efficient data systems.
• Leadership & Mentorship: Guide junior team members, sharing best practices in data engineering and system design.
• Code Review & Quality Assurance: Ensure code quality through regular reviews and adherence to best practices.

Our Tech Stack

• Languages/Frameworks: C#, Python, Airflow
• Data Systems: Hive Data Lake, SQL Server, and other relational databases

What We’re Looking For

Must-haves:

• Educational Background: BSc/MSc in Finance, Technology, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Regulatory Reporting Knowledge: Experience with regulatory frameworks like MiFID and SFTR.
• Data Expertise: Strong understanding of securities, positions, and transactions within asset management.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in C# and Python, with experience designing and building scalable data pipelines.
• Analytical Mindset: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Communication Skills: Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
• Language: Fluent in English.

Nice-to-haves:

• Passion for system architecture and design.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers.
